For anyone who hasn't figured it out yet, this comic is no longer active, due to me losing my access to Adobe Illustrator. I've found some possible alternatives, but haven't taken the time to make one of them work. At some point I may come back to this or start something new.

It was about this time I realized I was going to have to show a door being opened.
The direct approach is often effective. Concerning drawing the door, the ease or difficulty of doing so depends upon one's perspective.
